Lavi, one of the children who was injured in the rockslide incident at Nahal David today, described the sequence of events: "We arrived at the waterfall and a rockslide fell on us. I got hit on the head by a rock. My sisters also got hit. I took off my shirt and tied it around my sister's finger, who got a strong blow."
Dr. Zachi Slotsky, Deputy Director of Soroka Medical Center emergency room, reports: "Soroka Hospital has mobilized additional resources to receive all the injured. The report was immediately transmitted to the field. In the past half hour, two more injured individuals arrived – a 46-year-old woman in moderate to light condition and another 15-year-old girl with minor to moderate injuries.
Both are being treated in the trauma room of the hospital. Initial assessments have been conducted; the injuries are mainly to the limbs. They are being attended to by specialized surgical and emergency medical teams and will undergo further evaluation in the emergency room. Currently, there are no reports of additional casualties expected to arrive at Soroka."
