Ahead of this Evening's Women's Protest

Ahead of the women's protest in Bnei Brak: This is the instruction of the city's rabbis

This evening, a protest and march of women will take place in the city of Bnei Brak, with the approval of the police, involving widespread road blockades. The city's rabbis have addressed the residents, calling on them not to engage in conflicts and confrontations

A peak of tension in the city of Torah. This week, the police approved protest organizers to hold a provocative women's demonstration in the city of Bnei Brak. Initially, the organizers requested to carry out the women's procession on the main streets of the city, but the police rejected their request and approved an alternative route involving widespread road blockades. The marchers are expected to pass by the municipal building.

In a letter published this morning, the city's rabbis stated that "unfortunately, people from outside the city have been stirred to conduct demonstrations in our streets and make their voices heard against the Torah-observant and commandment-keeping public, as well as against modesty and sanctity.

"We hereby address the entire public, men, women, and children. There should be no engagement or conflict with them whatsoever. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to caution the adults and the youth to keep away from their gathering places, not responding to them positively or negatively, not getting involved in their vicinity, and certainly not arguing with them or, God forbid, causing a desecration of the Divine name."

Statement by the City's Rabbis

Member of Knesset Bosso: "A severe impact on all residents"

Yesterday, Member of Knesset Uriel Bosso, a candidate for the mayoral position in the upcoming elections, urgently addressed a letter to the Minister of National Security and the Commissioner of Police: "The city of Bnei Brak is bustling with life in the morning and evening, especially on Thursdays, when everyone is busy with preparations and shopping for the upcoming sacred Sabbath. The planned siege on the city of Bnei Brak and its main arteries will cause severe and unacceptable harm."

"I urgently request, without delay, to reconsider the option of blocking the city's main thoroughfares and disrupting public transportation, which will cause significant harm to the entire residents' community, an injustice that cannot be overlooked. It is inconceivable that every time someone wants to provoke a reaction, the police allow them to inconvenience tens of thousands of innocent citizens."
