In less than a day, the civilian counter-terrorism unit (Yamam) managed to apprehend the perpetrators of the shooting attacks in Hebron, in which Bat-Sheva Nagari, HY"D, was murdered, and Aryeh Unger was injured.

In a joint statement by the General Security Service, IDF, and Border Police, it was announced: "It is permitted to disclose that following joint intelligence and operational activity led by the General Security Service, IDF, and Border Police, last night two Palestinians, family members and residents of Hebron, were arrested by the civilian counter-terrorism unit on suspicion of carrying out the shooting attack that occurred yesterday morning near Hebron, in which Bat-Sheva Nagari, HY"D, was murdered, and another Israeli civilian was injured."

In their initial interrogation, both suspects implicated themselves in carrying out the attack. Following their arrest, the weapon that likely served for executing the attack was seized. The suspects have been transferred for further investigation by the General Security Service.

The preliminary investigation of the Har Hevron attack indicates a recurring pattern in the modus operandi of shooting attacks on roads. Once again, a vehicle of the assailants overtakes an Israeli vehicle and opens fire with a long burst. Over 20 impacts from an M-16 rifle were identified on the car.

The woman, Bat-Sheva Nagari, was critically injured and mortally wounded within a short time from her injuries. The driver, Aryeh, was seriously injured and evacuated to Soroka Hospital. A child who was sitting in the car was not harmed. The attack took place hundreds of meters from a manned soldiers' pillbox. Preliminary investigation indicates that the soldier on duty heard the gunfire but did not identify the attack and therefore did not react.

Yesterday, the funeral of Bar-Sheva Nagari took place with the participation of thousands. During the procession, one of the residents addressed the government and said: "We demand that the State of Israel continue developing the settlement. When will there finally be a comprehensive plan for the development of Judea and Samaria? Not just a response to the killings. How many more casualties are needed for you to shift from defense to offense?"

The head of the Hebron Regional Council, Yohai Damari, also mourned and appealed to the government, saying: "It's not enough to just capture the murderers; we must prevent the future orphans, widows, and widowers, and the future casualties. We need to act with a strong hand."
