IDF soldiers, Israel Security Agency, and Border Police operated throughout the night (from Saturday to Sunday) in various areas of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). They continued their searches for the terrorist who carried out the attack in Hawara, where a father and his son were killed. The forces are currently continuing their searches and patrols in order to apprehend the terrorist. In the village of Havitut, the forces identified a suspicious vehicle that was moving towards them, and inside the vehicle, they found an improvised weapon and ammunition. In the city of Hebron, the soldiers confiscated a knife.
During a proactive operation in the town of Tul Karem, suspects opened fire and threw explosives towards the force. The force responded with gunfire and hit them. The confiscated weapons were transferred for further handling by the security forces.
During Shabbat, around 3:00 PM, Shai Nigarker and his son Aviad were killed in a shooting attack at a car wash in the village of Hawara in the Samaria region. Preliminary investigation indicates that the assailant arrived on foot. He entered the car wash facility, identified that they spoke Hebrew, and fired five shots at them from point-blank range. The assailant fled the scene, presumably towards Nablus, and the security apparatus is conducting a pursuit to apprehend him.
Additionally, security forces operated last night in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the attack. According to reports in the Palestinian media, the two detainees are a father and son – Issa and Mahmad Bani Fajjal.
