An IDF officer was lightly injured last night (Wednesday) by gunfire that occurred during an operation carried out by the forces in the village of Burqa in Samaria. The IDF stated that the incident is under investigation.
According to an IDF spokesperson, the officer received initial medical treatment at the scene and was then transferred for further treatment to the hospital. It was also reported that a number of suspects threw stones and Molotov cocktails towards the soldiers, who responded with appropriate means to disperse the protests.
Simultaneously, it was reported that IDF soldiers, together with the General Security Service and Border Police, conducted operations to arrest ten wanted individuals throughout Judea and Samaria. The forces operated in the city of Bethlehem, in the villages of Abu Shahidam, Tuvas, Deir Samet, and Beit Ummar, in the city of Jenin, and in the Al-Aroub refugee camp. During the operation in the village of Tsafa, suspects threw stones and fired flares towards the forces, and in the operation in the village of Tuvas, sounds of gunfire were heard in the area.
Furthermore, it is reported that upon the departure of the soldiers from the village of Beit Likya, a gathering of suspects took place, and the forces responded with measures to disperse the protests. In the village of Abu Qash, suspects burned tires and attempted to block the route on which the soldiers were traveling. Once again, the forces responded with measures to disperse the protests. Additionally, during searches in the village of Einabus, a ceramic vest and weaponry were discovered.
