Battles at Refugee Camp in Lebanon

Lebanon: Additional casualties in clashes at the refugee camp

Despite an attempt by Hamas leader in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, to calm tensions, the heavy battles in the Lebanese refugee camp of Ein al-Hilweh has continued, and according to Arab reports, at least 2 more members of the Fatah were killed

The battles in Ein al-Hilweh (use according to clause 27 a)

After a day of relative calm in the intense clashes at the Ein al-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon, fighting resumed tonight between Palestinian factions and the Fatah organization, and Arab networks reported that at least 2 members of Fatah were killed during the night.

After it was reported that Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, attempted to intervene and bring about a ceasefire, it is now reported that Hamas leader in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, also entered the scene and tried during the last night to achieve a cessation of hostilities and calm in the camp. According to Arab reports, Haniyeh held discussions with Hezbollah's Secretary-General and senior figures in the Lebanese Parliament, attempting to advance the cessation of hostilities.

We would like to remind that the clashes between the Fatah organization, which controls the camp, and a Palestinian militia attempting to wrest control from Fatah, began when Fatah activists tried to assassinate a senior member of the militia and failed, resulting in the death of only his assistant. In response, members of the Palestinian group attacked a Fatah senior figure in the camp and killed him along with 4 of his assistants. Since then, the gates of hell have opened between the sides, and the number of casualties and injuries continues to rise.
