Police were called to a stabbing incident and found a weapons cache. Yesterday morning, a report was received by the police regarding a woman who was evacuated from a local clinic in the Shagiv Shalom settlement to Soroka Medical Center in moderate condition with stab wounds and injuries on her body.
Upon receiving the report of the incident, investigators from the Segev Shalom station initiated a swift investigation, during which the suspicion arose that the victim's brother, a resident of Al-Azazme, had stabbed and injured her. He was subsequently arrested for questioning.
As part of the investigation operations, a search was conducted by the police at the suspect's residence, where a weapons cache was found. They seized an M16 rifle, a pistol, 9 stun grenades, ammunition, and other weapons.
After the suspect, a young man in his 30s, was interrogated, he was brought to trial yesterday at the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court, where the judge extended his detention until July 31, 2023.
