The Republican Party secured a majority in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, giving the GOP full control of all three branches of government when President-elect Donald Trump takes office in January.

Rep. Juan Ciscomani’s (R-Ariz.) victory in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District pushed the GOP to at least 218 House seats in the upcoming Congress, with nine races still undecided, according to the Associated Press.

Since Election Day, Republicans have flipped six seats in the lower chamber, while Democrats have gained only one. Key GOP victories include wins by Ryan Mackenzie and Robert Bresnahan in Pennsylvania’s 7th and 8th districts, and triumphs in North Carolina’s 6th, 13th, and 14th districts by Addison McDowell, Brad Knott, and Tim Moore. In Michigan’s 7th District, Republican Tom Barrett secured a win for the GOP.

Republicans clinched the House majority on the same day that President-elect Trump addressed GOP members at a Capitol Hill hotel, marking his first visit to Washington since his historic Election Day win over Vice President Kamala Harris.
