A new poll conducted by Mitchell Research for Michigan News Source and released today (Thursday) shows Republican Donald Trump edging out Democrat Kamala Harris in the important swing state of Michigan, 48-47.
Steve Mitchell, the director of Mitchell Research, said that this lead has held for about a month, and has also led to Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers edging out his opponent, Democrat Elisa Slotkin, by 49-47.
Both presidential candidates have courted the different communities in Michigan, especially the Middle Eastern communities who are concentrated there.
Donald Trump recently sent a letter to the Lebanese American community, 68,000 of whom live in Michigan, telling them that he will ensure peace in Lebanon, all while also aggressively courting pro-Israel voters.
Kamala Harris, meanwhile, has also tried to walk the line between the two camps, calling Iran America's number one enemy while also insisting that the war in Gaza must come to an end as soon as possible.
