After initial hesitation, former President Barack Obama is privately supportive of Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential run and plans to endorse her soon, according to NBC News.

Obama and Harris have reportedly been in private contact over the last few days, with Obama showing support and encouragement for her campaign.

Obama reportedly did not want to endorse so as to nor overshadow President Biden's decision to end his reelection bid and his statement to the nation.

Obama reportedly now seeks to help the Democrats win up and down the ballot as the campaign enters its final stretch.
