An earthquake measuring approximately 3.7 on the Richter scale struck near the Dead Sea on Sunday night at around 11:15 p.m., according to the National Geological Institute.

The Institute confirmed the quake after receiving reports from local residents, as reported by N12. Ynet further detailed that the tremor was felt in Jerusalem, Beersheba, Dimona, and Eilat, with the Dead Sea identified as the quake's epicenter.

No damage has been reported so far.

A Jerusalem resident was quoted by Ynet saying: "My mother and I felt a fairly mild earthquake. The bed and the couch moved, and a book fell off the shelf."

Four months ago, Israel experienced its last significant earthquake, a magnitude 3.8 tremor that affected the northern region of the country. The quake was notably felt in the Sea of Galilee area, prompting alarm systems to activate in numerous schools throughout the Jordan Valley.
