While calls for a ceasefire in Gaza increase, the Diaspora Minister is working with the National Public Diplomacy Directorate and the Government Advertising Agency to launch a major hasbarah campaign this evening (Wednesday morning, US time) focused on leading US media outlets, including the Washington Post and The Hill.

The ad reads: "If Hamas put down its weapons, there would be no more war. If Israel put down its weapons, there would be no more Israel."

The goal of the campaign is to drive home the message that Israel has no choice but to continue fighting to protect its citizens like any other country would.

Since the outbreak of the war, Israel has tried to counteract Palestinian incitement whenever and however it can. Over 10 delegations of families of hostages and the murdered have visited parliaments around the world in order to tell Israel’s side of the story wherever they can and to push for international pressure to free the hostages.

Many initiatives have also been advanced by private and public bodies in order to get across the horrors of October 7 and the necessity of the war, in order to return the hostages and destroy the Hamas terror organization.
