The IDF eliminated several Hezbollah operatives inside a church in southern Lebanon.
Ceasefire in Lebanon: The IDF continues to act to thwart operations in Lebanon that pose a threat to the State of Israel, violating the understandings of the ceasefire agreement.
As part of these operations, paratroopers from the 98th Division identified several armed terrorists last night (Saturday) near the local church, which is implicated as an active terrorist infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in southern Lebanon. The forces fired at the terrorists and eliminated them. The terrorists who were eliminated were active in the ground defense, anti-tank, and artillery units in the sector, and participated in combat while using the church.
After the elimination of the terrorists, the forces scanned the area around the church throughout the day and discovered a shaft containing weapons.
This morning, Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with Defense Minister Gantz, arrived at the Recruitment Office and addressed the ceasefire in Lebanon: "In this sense, we are also enforcing the ceasefire agreement very firmly, and any violation immediately meets a strong response from the IDF." So it was, and so it will be. We will continue to ensure the security of Israel.
