Disgusting That They Held It Back

Hannukah for the IDF: US opens the weapons flood

The United States will now be providing Israel with masses of weapons, some of which it has never given its ally, as well as dozens of already ordered D9 Caterpillar bulldozers.

Israel is set to receive a great deal of ammunition, spare parts, and equipment - some of which it never received from the US in the past - in exchange for its agreement to a ceasefire in the north, according to Israel Hayom.

In addition to providing the full offensive complement of upgraded ammunition of particular kinds, the IDF is also expecting to receive large numbers of tank and artillery shells, guided munitions, and dozens of D9 bulldozers, which are vital for unearthing buried IEDs.

This freeing of the "silent" weapons embargo was reportedly a major reason for Israel agreeing to a ceasefire, as the State Department sought to use holds and delays on weapons shipments to make Israel more amenable to its policies. This embargo reportedly weakened the protection of IDF soldiers during the fighting in the north.

The incoming Trump administration reportedly has a very different approach and does not seek to impose any sort of embargo on Israel, and all signs point to the Israeli administration looking forward to this happening as soon as possible.
