Hostages member Gadi Eizenkot spoke with the families of the hostages who came to the Knesset to protest against the government for delaying a deal that would release their loved ones. Eizenkot told the family members that "there is one person who makes this decision, and he needs to change his mind and accept Netanyahu's plan." Hinting at Prime Minister Netanyahu.
According to Eizenkot: "This is the right way for the State of Israel to bring back the captives and promote the arrangement in the Gaza Strip. There should have been an arrangement in Gaza before Lebanon. It could have been months earlier. Every day that passes is an immediate life-threatening danger. We need a few more Knesset members who are honest and patriotic."
"We need to make every effort for this to happen as soon as possible." "We are applying political pressure, in the media, here in the Knesset, unfortunately, we are in the minority."
The families of the hostages are currently barricading themselves (Wednesday) in front of Netanyahu's office in the Knesset, demanding to reach an agreement in Gaza as well, and calling on Netanyahu: "Just as you brought a quick agreement in Lebanon – bring a deal to return the hostages!"
Eli Albag, the father of Liri Albag, said: "My Prime Minister, we ask you, just as you quickly closed Lebanon, close Gaza quickly as well. We trust you, you can if you want. Please, we beg you from the bottom of our hearts for our dear ones."
