France’s Role in Hezbollah Ceasefire revealed

Report: The country that supported the Hague decision – will stand by Hezbollah

Israel is on the way to a ceasefire in the north: According to reports, the country causing the delay in Israel signing the agreement is France, due to its response to the Hague's orders. For the full report.

Quiet negotiations are being conducted by Israeli officials with Hezbollah, in an attempt to reach an agreement by the end of the week. Last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened a consultation with Defense Minister Israel Katz and the security establishment to discuss the agreement itself.

According to a report on Kan Reshet Bet, one of the unresolved issues is France's involvement in the arrangement. In Lebanon, they demand that France be part of the mechanism that will oversee the agreement, but in Israel, they oppose it due to France's "lenient" response to the Hague court's decision.

The diplomat Dan Shapiro from the American Department of Defense will meet today with senior Israeli officials, including Minister Katz, to discuss regulation and the oversight mechanism, which will be led by the United States.

As a reminder, France was quick to respond to the Hague's decision on the orders and claimed that it would respect them. This is actually the reason why Israel does not want to give it the power to make decisions regarding the war in the North due to their clearly bias stance.

Hmm, France's stance intriguing. Why supporting Hezbollah despite Hague's decision?
