The security cabinet is set to convene tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Kiryah to discuss the possible approval of a ceasefire deal in the north with Lebanon and Hezbollah. According to Channel 12, the meeting is set to last at least 3.5 hours.
Western diplomats have been hard at work trying to resolve differences between the two sides. France has reportedly agreed to soften its anti-Israel tone to be able to join the oversight body in charge with observing the implementation of the deal.
Meanwhile, western sources speaking to news outlets said that the Lebanese Army, which is supposed to ensure no presence of any other armed forces in southern Lebanon, will not clash with Hezbollah or force itself on it.
Multiple local leaders and even Likud MKs have expressed vocal opposition to the emerging deal, calling it "surrender" and a failure to translate tactical gains into strategic achievements.
