Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed the kidnapping and murder of UAE Chabad shaliach Rabbi Tzvi Kogan today (Sunday) at the beginning of the weekly government meeting, calling it a "criminal antisemitic terror attack."
He began by saying that "I want to express deep shock - in my name, in the name of all members of the government, in the name of the citizens of Israel and in the name of the whole Jewish People - at the kidnapping and murder of Tzvi Kogan ob"m, may God avenge his blood."
He then continued: "This murder was committed in the UAE. The murder of an Israeli citizen and a Chabad shaliach, this is a criminal antisemitic terror attack...The State of Israel will use all its means and will exact justice from the murderers and those who sent them. None of them will be cleared."
He then said, contrary to previous reports of Israeli dissatisfaction with the UAE's handling of the investigation, that "I very much appreciate the cooperation in investigating the murder. We will strengthen relations between us in the face of efforts of the axis of evil to harm peaceful relations between us. We will strengthen them and also act to expand stability in the region."
