The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday morning that the Israel Air Force (IAF) eliminated Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, a key figure in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Gaza City Brigade, during an airstrike. Anbar was responsible for overseeing rocket fire directed at Israeli territory and was heavily involved in the group's weapons manufacturing operations.
According to the IDF, Anbar's position within the PIJ's Gaza City Brigade made him a central figure in the coordination of rocket attacks targeting Israel. His elimination was carried out under the guidance of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), which provided the intelligence for the operation.
The strike, carried out by the ISA and IAF, also resulted in the death of other Islamic Jihad terrorists who had fired rockets at Israel and IDF forces.
Ongoing IDF Operations in Gaza:
Meanwhile, IDF troops continue their operations in the Jabaliya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah regions of the Gaza Strip. Over the past 24 hours, IDF forces have neutralized additional terrorists in close combat and targeted aerial strikes. They have also discovered large caches of weapons, including explosives, machine guns, and other terrorist-related equipment.
