Iran pledges to rebuild all Lebanese areas hit by IDF

These regions include not only the Dahiyeh but also southern Lebanon and the Baalbek region, which have been hit repeatedly by air strikes and demolition teams.

Iran told Hezbollah's leadership that the Islamic Republic intends to help rebuild all the areas hit hardest by the IDF, including the Beirut suburbs including the Dehiyeh, southern Lebanon, and the Baalbek region, according to Naharnet.

According to the sources mentioning this pledge, Iran had previously only committed to rebuilding the Dahiyeh area, which the IDF has repeatedly hit when targeting Hezbollah headquarters, missile production and storage areas, and senior Hezbollah members.

The IDF has been systematically demolishing multiple villages along the border, which were found to contain weapons and military and underground structures in practically every civilian home.

Iran's commitment to help rebuild all of the damage caused by the IDF is both a sign of its commitment to Hezbollah and a possible hindrance to a ceasefire deal, as the rebuilding is likely to contain the kind of military infrastructure which forced the IDF to move into Lebanon in the first place.
