The match between Panathinaikos and Maccabi Tel Aviv, which is scheduled to take place tonight (Tuesday) at the Hauaka Stadium in Athens as part of the Euroleague, has raised political tensions.

The social networks circulated calls by fan organizations and groups affiliated with the BDS movement in Greece to encourage protests against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Israel, including waving Palestinian flags in the stands and displaying posters of a political nature.

The prominent slogan was "OAKA [name of stadium] is flooding Palestine!" while calling for "solidarity with the Palestinians."

According to Greek media reports, the calls are coordinated with other protest initiatives, including holding up a sign saying "OAKA makes Amsterdam be heard" – a reference to the violent events that took place in Amsterdam earlier this month against Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

The protests, supported by anti-Israel groups, place the game at the center of political tension unrelated to the sporting arena.
