Israel: Amsterdam pogrom victims to be recognized as terror victims

The Labor Minister met this morning with the heads of the National Insurance Institute and its terror wing, agreeing that victims of the Amsterdam pogrom will be recognized as terror victims.

Labor Minister Yoav Ben Tzur met today (Friday) with the Acting Director-General of the National Insurance Institute and representatives of its terror victims wing, at the end of which they agreed that the incident will be recognized by National Insurance as a terrorist attack.

The emergency discussion ensures that victims and their families will be entitled to a variety of forms of compensation and assistance from the state, as well as official recognition during Memorial Day for the dead.

El Al is continuing to offer free flights out of Amsterdam for any and all who need it, and people who need assistance can contact the Foreign Ministry for help.
