Chilling discovery shows Hamas terrorists monitored Israeli hostage protests

Flash drive recovered from a terror tunnel reveals that Hamas was watching the protests carefully.

A disturbing discovery in a Hamas tunnel has revealed that terrorists closely monitored Israeli protests calling for the release of hostages. The IDF found a flash drive containing footage of terrorists watching Al Jazeera coverage of Tel Aviv demonstrations while holding hostage Almog Saroussi, who was later murdered.

In the recovered video, terrorists can be heard discussing Saroussi's appearance at previous peace rallies, noting changes in his appearance compared to protest footage. The casual nature of their conversation while viewing footage of his family at demonstrations has shocked Israeli officials.

Saroussi, who was kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival in Re'im on October 7, 2023, where his girlfriend Shahar Gindi was murdered, was found dead in a Rafah tunnel in August along with five other hostages: Alex Lobanov, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, and Ori Danino.

The IDF has previously reported that the terrorists responsible for the murders of these six hostages were later eliminated in military operations. The flash drive was discovered in the same tunnel where the hostages were held and ultimately killed.

This evidence provides a grim glimpse into the terrorists' awareness of the anguish of Israeli families and their monitoring of domestic protests while continuing to hold their victims captive.

The revelation comes as Israeli forces continue to uncover evidence of Hamas operations in Gaza's tunnel network, offering new insights into the treatment of hostages during their captivity.
