Only 10 km from Ben Gurion Airport. Palestinian security forces located in the village of Budrus, within the Ephraim Brigade area, an object that resembled a rocket, which was mounted on a kind of launcher in an open area, the IDF confirmed today.

According to the report received from the security apparatus – explosives and a detonation mechanism were found inside the rocket. Soon, the security forces are expected to transfer the rocket for examination by the IDF and security agencies. The village of Budrus, where the aforementioned rocket was found, is located only 10 km from Ben Gurion Airport, 3 km from Highway 6, and about 5 km from the city of Modiin.

The IDF spokesperson stated that explosive material was indeed found, and whether it is a rocket is still under investigation.

Amid the ever growing threat on Israel from all fronts, this particular case indeed hits a bit too close to home. With ever terror plot foiled, how many more are being planned away, hidden in the cracks, or in this case out in the open.
