About 40 people were injured at approximately 10:00am today (Sunday) in a ramming attack where a truck collided with a bus and pedestrians who were at a station near the Glilot base. A mass casualty event has been declared.

The terrorist who carried out the attack is Rami Natur, an Israeli Arab resident of Qalansawe, Sharon. Thirty-five casualties were taken to hospitals.

Ten out of the forty victims are seriously wounded.

The truck driver was shot and neutralized.

The police asked people not to come to the area, "Near Cinema City Glilot, an incident occurred where a truck hit several people who were standing near a bus station. Large police forces are on their way to the scene. At this stage, the circumstances of the incident are being investigated."

MDA (Magen David Adom) spokesperson said, "At 10:08, a report was received at MDA's 101 call center in the Yarkon region about a truck that hit a bus station on Aharon Yariv Boulevard in Ramat HaSharon. From initial reports only, MDA paramedics and EMTs are providing medical treatment to dozens of injured people at the scene."

United Hatzalah spokesperson reported, "United Hatzalah medical teams are currently providing medical assistance to approximately 20 casualties in various conditions. Some are still trapped under the truck."

The Israel Police provided this update, "A preliminary investigation shows that a bus stopped near the station in order to drop off passengers– at that time a truck drove into the bus and the people waiting at the bus station, at this time, MDA has reported that 24 people were injured to varying degrees. Civilians present at the scene shot at the truck driver and neutralized him."

MDA paramedics have transferred the wounded to these hospitals: Ichilov, Blinson, Meir, Laniado, Shamir-Assaf Harofeh, and Sheba in Tel Hashomer. There are 35 injured, including 6 seriously, 5 moderately, 20 mildly and four suffering from anxiety.

Update: The truck driver's family claim that it was not a terrorist attack, but that he crashed into the bus stop as a result of a medical condition. As a result, his body has been sent for an autopsy to determine if he had a heart attack or another condition that caused him to crash.

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, arrived on scene and said that it should be investigated as an attack.

He added, "I fully support the police officers and the citizens who neutralized [the terrorist]. I'm saying something very, very simple– that's exactly why we distributed weapons, that's exactly why we changed the policy, and the policy is very clear - a car or truck that accelerates in an area where there are soldiers or civilians- if policemen or civilians see it, they should shoot the terrorist [and] I will back them up completely."
