Israel has reportedly sent a message to Hezbollah that the entire Dahiyeh, the Beirut suburb that serves as the terrorist organization's nerve center, will be destroyed outright if it tries again to assassinate Israeli leaders, according to Israel Hayom.
Sources speaking to Al-Arabiya further said that Hezbollah has tried to assassinate two other senior Israeli leaders aside from the attempt on Prime Minister Netanyahu last week at his residence in Caesaria.
Netanyahu has said that the assassination attempt on himself and his wife was a "grave mistake" on the part of Iran and its proxies, and that nothing would deter him in his effort to defeat them.
His wife Sarah Netanyahu responded to the attempt for the first time today (Monday), saying that "the attempt to kill the Prime Minister of Israel and me is not just a personal attempt - this is an attack on all of us, on the Jewish People, on the values and path of our nation."
