Refusal? Biden did not confirm the conversation with Netanyahu

A two-month rift between Biden and Netanyahu has not yet ended, after it was reported that the leaders would speak on the phone. It was reported today that Biden has not yet approved the call and the details about it are not finalized, following Netanyahu's delay of the Defense Minister's trip, which he conditioned on a conversation with Biden, causing shock in the White House.

After it was reported this morning by Reuters that U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to speak later today with Prime Minister Netanyahu, following Netanyahu's condition that Defense Minister Yoav Galant's visit to Washington be contingent on his conversation with Biden, it now turns out that nothing is finalized.

Sources in Netanyahu's circle say that "contacts are being made to coordinate a phone call between Netanyahu and Biden, but it has not yet been finalized," Anna Briskin reports.

Just before Defense Minister Gallant flew to the U.S. for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Netanyahu delayed the visit and set two conditions that must be met before the flight: a conversation between him and Biden and cabinet approval for a response in Iran. The Americans reacted with complete shock to the delay of the visit.

Gallant postponed his trip, and as of now, the two conditions have not yet been met. Biden and Netanyahu have not spoken in two months, and the purpose of Biden's call was to temper Israel's response towards Iran.

Yesterday, it was revealed that in a new report released in the U.S., that Biden cursed Netanyahu over the phone after the assassination of Fuad Shukr, the Hezbollah chief of staff.
