Sources speaking to the Saudi outlet al-Arabiya said today (Wednesday) that pro-Iranian Iraqi militias have been evacuating some of their sites in Baghdad for fear of an Israeli strike, according to Kann 11 News reporter Roi Kais.

Iran itself has also been doing everything possible to prevent a threatened Israeli strike on Iran in retaliation for a salvo of some 181 missiles fired on Israel last Tuesday night, which caused physical damage to multiple structures and hit two air bases.

These efforts include threats to retaliate against Israel in multiple ways and diplomatic campaigns to ensure that Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, considered to be friendlier to Israel and hostile to Iran, to close off their air space to any possible Israeli attack.

The US has also been in intensive talks with Israel regarding a planned retaliation, with some reports pointing to a "compensation package" for Israel if it does not retaliate and others pointing to efforts to make certain targets off limits.
