In the last day, rumors have increased about the possible assassination of Ismail Ka'ani, commander of the Quds Force in Iran's Revolutionary Guards, in an attack in which Hashem Safi al-Din, Nasrallah's replacement, was apparently eliminated.
In a conversation with the New York Times, three Iranian officials confirmed that Ismail Ka'ani had indeed arrived in Lebanon in the last few days, to try to rehabilitate the organization that suffered severe blows from Israel. In addition, Iran has yet to issue an official statement regarding his condition, which confirms the rumour's that he was injured in the attack.
According to the report, Ka'ani was last seen at the Hezbollah offices in Tehran, two days after the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, and since then his traces have disappeared. At the same time, one of the websites in Iran published the biography of Ka'ani and the details of his roles in the Revolutionary Guards in the last decades.
