At a ceremony held today (Monday) in memory of those murdered at the Nova festival last October 7, the minute of silence, at 6:29 a.m., was shattered by Hamas rockets which targeted the Gaza envelope.
The commemoration took place at the Reim parking lot, near to where the Nova festival – in which 383 people were murdered and 44 were abducted into the Gaza Strip - took place.
The horrifying stories of the massacre continue to haunt the nation. According to testimonies of survivors, as well as interrogations by ZAKA personnel, security personnel and medical officials, some of the victims were raped by the terrorists before they were killed. Survivors had to hide under the bodies of their friends in order to survive.
In one of the terrifying incidents of the massacre, 27 party participants hid inside a small concrete shelter. These are located all over the Gaza Envelope so that people can quickly get cover in case of rocket attacks. This shelter was given the name "death shelter." When the Hamas terrorists arrived there, one of the party security guards, Osama Abu Asa, tried to speak to the terrorists in Arabic and convince them not to kill those inside. He was shot dead by the terrorists, and the others were murdered as well.
