Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated by the IDF yesterday (Friday); the assassination operation was carried out by a series of IAF fighter planes and by means of more than eighty bombs dropped on the bunker where he was staying.

At the time of the assassination, which was given the name "New Order," more than eighty bombs weighing an average of one ton of explosives per unit were dropped on Hezbollah's headquarters. No. 69 Squadron ("The Hammers") led the attack in an operation dubbed "New Order" with its F-15I ("Ra'am") fighters, considered the IDF's leading bombers.

The deadly bombs were dropped by F-15i fighter jets belonging to the 69th Squadron in the Israeli Air Force: "We are preparing for this operation for several days. The details are revealed a few days ahead of schedule in order to maintain compartmentalization, and only a few hours before we receive the approval for the operation" – says Lt. Col. M., the squadron commander.

Earlier today, the IDF Spokesperson announced that during the night, under the precise guidance of the Intelligence Directorate, the IDF deepened the damage to its buildup capability by means of a series of precise attacks on Hezbollah's main production sites, including a site for manufacturing and assembling rocket and missile launchers in southern Lebanon and another site intended to serve as part of the Hezbollah terrorist organization's project to strengthen the Jordan Valley.
