The Arabic newspaper Asharq, published in London, cites Lebanese sources connected to Hezbollah, stating that despite international speculation, both Israel and Hezbollah turned down offers from the United States and France for a temporary ceasefire.

According to the report from Asharq, which is considered to have reliable sources among Lebanese authorities, officials close to Hezbollah conveyed that despite reports of negotiations for a ceasefire, the terrorist organization rejected the terms proposed by international mediators.

Furthermore, the newspaper reported that Israel announced it would not agree to a 21-day ceasefire under the conditions put forth by the United States or France, as the proposals from both countries included a ceasefire without any concessions to Israel, allowing Hezbollah to restore damaged capabilities, such as its communication and coordination systems, during that period.
