Subhi Al-Tufayli, the founding general secretary of Hezbollah, has publicly condemned Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for the recent device explosions in Lebanon and Syria, calling for him to stand trial. '

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Al-Tufayli criticized Khamenei and Hezbollah's leaders in Lebanon, stating that they all bear responsibility for the failures surrounding the detonations of pagers and walkie-talkies over the past week.

Addressing his 57,000 subscribers, Al-Tufayli asserted that those accountable should be brought to justice, emphasizing that "everyone responsible should face the courts." He expressed his belief that those guilty of negligence must be punished, declaring that "every criminal should be put to death."

The Shi'ite cleric, who led Hezbollah from 1989 to 1991, accused Khamenei of fostering corruption throughout Iran and implicated him in the assassination of former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, referring to Haniyeh as a "martyr." Al-Tufayli stated, "The real failure is not here [in Lebanon]. Yes, they failed too and must bear some responsibility, but the main failure lies with their leader in Tehran."

He urged a thorough and impartial trial for all involved, asserting, "This should be a real and genuine trial. It must be pure, accurate, and conducted without fear or favoritism. All those who failed should be held accountable, and every criminal must face the death penalty."
