Hezbollah, Israel-Gaza War

"We must strike Hezbollah's power centers now– or else" says retired Colonel Kobi Marom

If we don't take advantage of this situation, it would be a disaster for generations. We'll enter a war of attrition - which is exactly what the Iranians want.

Retired IDF Colonel Kobi Marom advises Israel to launch a limited ground invasion to push Hezbollah back to the Litani River.

As reported by Jpost, here's what he says:

"Hezbollah will not negotiate with Israel unless we strike at their power centers in Beirut and Baalbek. This week has been the hardest in the organization's history, following severe damage to its command structure. But our current strategy of escalating attacks is not enough. We need bolder action.

I'm proposing a limited ground operation up to the Litani River. The IDF could accomplish this within two weeks. We have a rare, once-in-a-generation opportunity here, and it's time for brave decisions. However, I have my doubts about whether our current leadership is capable of making such a decision.

Nasrallah is a target, but he's not the central problem. He remains almost isolated at the top, with the leadership around him non-existent. Think about a terrorist organization leader when all of his operational beehive is no longer there. The Iranians understand this, which is why they've sent a response delegation to Beirut.

This is our chance to create a different reality that we've been hoping for for an entire year. We must act now."

Israel is really trying its best not to send its forces on a ground invasion- but they might have to, despite Hezbollah still being a formidable opponent.
