The Chinese government is warning its citizens to depart immediately from Lebanon due to the increasing risk of war and the escalation of tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, according to Naharnet.
China is also warning its citizens to avoid Israel's north, which is under increasing threat from rockets and drones all the way to the Haifa line.
For those Chinese citizens who can't or won't leave Lebanon, the government recommends that citzens "remain highly vigilant, effectively strengthen their security precautions and emergency preparedness and avoid going to high-risk areas and sensitive areas in the south."
The U.S. embassy in Beirut issued a fresh advisory on Saturday urging all American citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
"Due to the unpredictable nature of the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, as well as recent explosions throughout Lebanon, including in Beirut, the U.S. embassy strongly encourages U.S. citizens to depart Lebanon while commercial travel options remain available," the advisory stated.
The embassy further warned, "At this time, commercial flights are still operating, but at a reduced capacity. If the security situation deteriorates, these options may no longer be available."
