Videos now circulating on social media and Lebanese and Iranian news outlets show an aircraft filled with injured individuals connected to IV drips and bandaged in various parts of their bodies. Footage also depicts a representative from the Iranian Red Crescent overseeing the evacuation of the wounded militants.
According to reports from Lebanon, at least 4,000 Hezbollah members have been injured in the explosion of the electronic devices, causing hospitals in the country to become overwhelmed with complex injuries. A Saudi report claims that at least 500 Hezbollah militants were blinded in the explosion, with hundreds more losing the use of their hands, legs, and other limbs. Iranian media report that at least 97 of the injured will be evacuated this evening on a special flight for treatment in Tehran.
