According to a statement from the National Security Council, during part of this period, Hanegbi required intermittent hospitalization for treatment and monitoring.

At the Prime Minister's direction, Deputy National Security Advisor Gil Reich has been managing meetings and consultations from which Hanegbi was unable to participate.

It was also stated that "the National Security Advisor is expected to be discharged soon and to return to full duties upon his recovery."
