Here's what we know so far about the Allenby Bridge shooting

Authorities have gathered more information since the shooting attack that killed three Israelis at Allenby Bridge. Here's what we know.

More information has emerged on the shooting at the Allenby Bridge this morning (Sunday) which killed three Israelis, regarding both the identity of the terrorist and the steps being taken to identify additional terrorists or those who may have aided him.

According to reports, the terrorist is a resident of the area of Irbid, in Jordan, and arrived at the Allenby Bridge crossing from the Jordanian side to commit the attack, according to Arab media. He was eliminated by security forces on the spot.

The Allenby Bridge has been shut down for traffic in both directions, along with all other land crossings to Jordan according to Reuterrs, as security forces on both sides secure the area and conduct investigations. The IDF is detaining drivers in the area and has surrounded Jericho with the aim of seeing if there were others involved in the attack, according to Army Radio.

Both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have congratulated the attack.
