Sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona and other northern Israeli communities overnight on Saturday as the IDF reported that over 50 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards the region.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit provided details of the attacks: "Following the sirens that sounded at 00:57 a.m. (Israel time) and between 2:34 a.m. to 2:39 a.m. in the Kiryat Shmona area, approximately 20 projectiles were detected crossing from Lebanon. The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted most of the projectiles, with some falling in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported."

A second wave occurred later, as the statement added: "At 5:35 in the upper Galilee, about 30 additional projectiles crossed from Lebanon. Several were intercepted, while the remaining rockets fell in open areas, with no reported injuries."

In retaliation, the IAF struck multiple Hezbollah military sites in southern Lebanon, targeting structures in Aitaroun, Maroun El Ras, and Yaroun. The IDF also confirmed the elimination of terrorists from the Amal organization who were operating within a Hezbollah military structure in the Froun area of southern Lebanon.
