The unusual incident occurred this morning (Monday) during an operational activity at a security prison in the north, when a female guard was bitten on the hand by a terrorist, resulting in minor injuries.

A prison guard was bitten on the hand by a terrorist during an operational activity at a security prison in the north and sustained light injuries. Correctional officers subdued and restrained the attacker, and the injured guard received local treatment.

The female guard and additional forces completed the control and restraint of the terrorist, after which she went on to receive local treatment at the prison.

The Israel Prison Service stated, "This incident once again reflects the dangers faced by correctional officers, who deal hour by hour with the worst of Israel's enemies for the safety of Israeli citizens."
