Pressures are increasing on Arnon Ben-David, Chairman of the Histadrut, the General Workers Union, to shut down the economy to force a hostage deal, according to a report by Globes.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum have reportedly spoken with Ben David, who said that "we're trying to find solutions via the families and not the headlines."

Meanwhile, senior leaders of the economy, including the "Businesses Forum" which includes some of the leading figures in the economy, is pushing for strikes to pressure the government.

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid has also called for a general strike to force a deal, as well.
