The flight, which was en route from Tel Aviv to Italy, had to turn back following reports of disruptive behaviour from one of the passengers. The plane's crew made the decision to return to Tel Aviv and notified Israeli authorities about the situation, according to Israel national news reports.

Upon landing, police vehicles were on hand to meet the plane, and the disruptive passenger was promptly arrested.

The police confirmed, "Following reports of a passenger causing a disturbance on the flight, the individual was removed from the plane and taken in for questioning."
