A senior figure in the defense industry claimed today (Sunday) in an interview with Globes that this is the amount Israel spent on the preemptive strike against Hezbollah. “The attack against Hezbollah likely cost about $120 million (close to half a billion shekels). The calculation is approximately 4,000 JDAM bombs at $25,000 each, totalling around $100 million.”
“The operation of about 100 aircraft for six hours is estimated at an additional $18 million, and the use of drones for approximately 12 hours costs around $1.08 million. Additional costs, such as reservist salaries, are not included in this amount.”
Earlier today, the terrorist organization Hezbollah announced that it had launched the first phase of its response to the assassination of its chief of staff, Fuad Shukur. According to them, the attack included launches at IDF bases and facilities.
They also stated in their announcement that 320 rockets were fired in the initial phase of the attack.
Following the information about the impending attack, the Israeli Air Force launched a pre-emptive strike early in the morning against Hezbollah targets, after the terrorist organization planned to begin a broad attack at 5:00 AM towards Tel Aviv.
