The Kedumim emergency center and council head, Oziel Vatik, permitted the publication today (Sunday) of the name of the man killed in the attack in Samaria: Gideon Perry, may his memory be a blessing. Perry leaves behind a wife, three children, parents, and siblings. A native of Kedumim, Perry was a manager at a factory in the Barkan industrial zone, where one of the workers attacked him. Perry fought the terrorist but sustained severe injuries and passed away from his wounds at Beilinson Hospital later that evening.

Perry also managed the first musical instrument store in Samaria. He served as a communications officer in the IDF and continued to serve in reserves at the beginning of the war in the north and in Gaza.

His friends describe him as a person of great kindness: "Gideon gave and worked with his own hands for many projects to assist the weak and underprivileged, quietly and powerfully, that’s how he acted." "With deep sorrow and a burning heart, we announce the murder of our dear and beloved friend Gideon Perry, may his memory be a blessing. This afternoon, a despicable Arab terrorist attacked Gideon while he was managing the factory in the Barkan Park.

Gideon fought the terrorist with all his strength, but unfortunately, the severe injuries were critical, and he passed away from his wounds at Beilinson Hospital." The emergency center further stated: "We embrace and support his wife Ela and their children Yaffa, Almog, and Regev; his parents Yossi and Hanna, his sister Revital Rubinstein, and his brothers Roy and Mattityahu. Together with the Kedumim community, we will surround them. We demand that the Israeli government understand that we are at war and instruct the military to act accordingly.

We mourn the loss of our friend, but we will not be broken – the Jewish settlement in their land is stronger than any terrorist attack, and we will find solace in the building of the land. Funeral and shiva arrangements will be announced shortly."
