The Prime Minister's Office said that "the negotiating team informed Netanyahu of the status of the talks in Doha, and expressed cautious optimism regarding the possibility of moving forward with the deal, based on the latest American proposal - which includes elements acceptable to Israel."

Netanyahu's office also stated that "it is to be hoped that the heavy pressure on Hamas from the United States and the mediators will lead to the removal of its opposition to the American proposal, and will enable a breakthrough in the talks."

Sources familiar with the talks said this evening that the work teams remaining in Doha and those who will arrive tomorrow in Cairo - "are closing all the gaps regarding the names of the terrorists, the keys and the names of the hostages who will be released, and are also discussing the issue of Rafah and the Philadelphia axis."

They emphasize that "Hamas has not given an answer, therefore all the progress, the narrowing of the gaps and the cautious optimism - is under a big question mark."
