Prime Minister Netanyahu released a statement today (Tuesday) denying recent reports in the media claiming that he has added terms to the hostage deal proposed by President Biden and thus hampered progress in securing a deal.

In the statement Netanyahu said that his letter on the terms of the deal strengthened terms related to ensuring only unarmed civilians crossing into northern Gaza, ensuring that a maximal number of live hostages be released, and that Israel maintain a veto over which prisoners it releases as part of any deal.
