The Prime Minister's Office has clarified that a delegation will depart to finalize the details for implementing the framework agreement. Following a special statement from the leaders of the US, Qatar, and Egypt calling for a summit next Thursday to renew negotiations for the deal, the Prime Minister's Office announced Thursday night that Israel will send a negotiation delegation on August 15 to a location yet to be determined to finalize the details for implementing the framework agreement.
The statement from Netanyahu's office comes in light of the negotiators' declaration: "It is time for an agreement on the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the hostages. We have worked for months to create a basis for the agreement, and it is now on the table with only implementation details remaining."
They added: "As negotiators, we are ready to present a final proposal to resolve the remaining issues so that it will be acceptable to all parties. We have called on both sides to continue the talks, in Doha or Cairo next Thursday, to bridge the remaining gaps and begin implementing the agreement without delay."
Hostage Families' Response: "Show Leadership and Finalize the Remaining Details"
In response to the negotiators' statement, the Hostages' Families Headquarters said: "We thank and support US President Joe Biden, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for their commitment to the release of the 115 hostages who have been in Hamas captivity for 308 days. The Families' Headquarters calls on the Israeli government and its leader to also show leadership and advance and complete the final details needed for the implementation of the Netanyahu deal for the return of all hostages—alive for rehabilitation, and the deceased for proper burial in their homeland."
