Report: Iranian Attack Likely to be Delayed; Here's Why

The Iranian delegation to the UN has addressed the possibility that Tehran will postpone its anticipated response against Israel until after the upcoming negotiations between Israel and Hamas next week. They stated, "We do not want to undermine efforts for a ceasefire."

The Iranian delegation indicated that Tehran might delay its response until after the negotiations between Israel and Hamas, and added, "We hope our response will be timed and executed in a way that does not harm the potential for a ceasefire."

The delegation stated, "Our priority is to establish a lasting ceasefire in Gaza, and any agreement accepted by Hamas will also be recognized by us. The Israeli regime has violated our national security and autonomy through its recent act of terrorism, and we have the legitimate right to self-defence—an issue that is entirely separate from the ceasefire in Gaza. However, we hope that our response will be timed and carried out in a manner that does not impact the potential ceasefire."
