The recent report that the UK is set to end arms shipments to Israel is no surprise to the defense establishment, which told Ynet today (Monday) that Israel has been facing a "silent embargo" from companies in countries like France for months.

Israel relies on about 200 suppliers for its weapons development and projects and delays in shipments make it difficult to build more tanks and complete more weapons systems.

According to Ynet, Israel is now looking to countries such as India and Serbia to end reliance on European countries that now seek to limit weapons and weapons components to Israel.
