The Prime Minister's Office announced on Sunday that Mossad Chief David Barnea has returned from his meeting with the mediators in Rome. According to the statement from Netanyahu's office: "The parties discussed the clarification document sent by Israel regarding the proposed agreement." It was also noted that "negotiations on the central issues will continue in the coming days."

Yesterday, it was reported that Hamas opposes the changes introduced by Prime Minister Netanyahu to the agreement, according to a Palestinian source speaking to Lebanon's Al-Mayadeen network. The report also stated that the terrorist organization continues to insist on a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, including from the Nitzarim and Philadelphi routes.

Hamas maintains that it sticks to the original Israeli proposal presented to the mediators. Additionally, they have stated they will not consider any future drafts that do not include a declaration of a ceasefire.
